Wind is available from the NCEP/NCAR 40-Year Reanalysis CD-ROM at 1000, 850, 500 and 200 mb. Isotachs are made by plotting the magnitude of the vector sum of the zonal wind vector with the meridional wind vector. Monthly mean vertical cross sections are also available. Units: m s-1 |
