David Demko's Homepage
Welcome to David Demko's Blurb On The Web!
Well, here is a very preliminary homepage...I'll put up a better one
later (procrastination is my life)! About myself...I'm currently an
undergraduate meteorology major at the great University of Oklahoma!
I've come to OU from western Kentucky...Owensboro, KY
to be exact.

Check out this WSR-88D data of a supercell thunderstorm located north
of Minneapolis, MN. An F3 tornado associated with this storm was on the
ground around the time these images were valid. This data was taken from
the Minneapolis, MN (KMPX) NEXRAD site at 6:03 PM CDT (2303 UTC) on the
18th of September, 1997. Three interesting observations about this
paticular storm include the pronounced hook echo, the relatively large
west-east elongation of the precipitation pattern, and the extreme
gate-to-gate shear, as shown by the velocity image. Sorry, at the
present time, I don't have a color key for these images available...the
color values are fairly standard though.
