WORK HISTORY

INTERPRETIVE NATURALIST, Versailles State Park

I served and continually assist as an Interpretive Naturalist and Grant Coordinator for the Nature Center at Versailles State Park in Versailles, Indiana.  I create interactive displays, develop and present educational programs about the natural resources, and conduct ongoing research about the weather patterns (specifically lightning safety, prediction, and injury treatment) on the state park property.  [Reference:  Ginger Murphy, IDNR Chief Interpretive Naturalist]

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, Historic Hoosier Hills/Wild Productions

I oversee a project committee that provides educational film, photography, and internet products to schools, libraries, and local Indiana State Parks.  Various exhibit productions include an interactive tornado chamber exhibit with highlight film of 1992 Ripley County tornadoes sponsored by State Farm Insurance (an accompanying weather station was also installed).  This project committee is also responsible for the implementation of the “Indiana Mesonet” and associated meteorological programs, starting in 2003.  [Reference:  Gary Conant, USDA Coordinator]
