I am the Computer Systems Coordinator for the University of Oklahoma School of Meteorology and am in charge of the computing group made up of myself and two student assistants. The computing group maintains the school's computing efforts for the students, faculty and staff.

I am a meteorologist by training but happen to enjoy working with computers. I earned my BS from the University of Kentucky majoring in Physics. I then went on to earn my MS and PhD from The Pennsylvania State University in Meteorology. So I am a meteorologist by training but happened to be good with computers. I ended up being the person everyone came to with their computing problems.

I am an Apple Distinguished Educator, Class of 2005. As many who know me can attest, I am a rabid Apple user. Having come from a DOS (so-so), Digital (needed a cd command), IBM (Big Blue 370), Windows NT (barf), Windows 2000 (almost), Windows XP (double barf), Sun (Sparc whatever), Linux (free) background, I absolutely love the fact that Apple gives you a *nix core and a great desktop GUI all rolled into one. Not to mention, all the other great programs that come bundled.
