A long-lived overnight MCS approaches the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area around 03z and moves south through the area until 10z. The convection is noted by two strong clusters of storms, one in the western edge of the LDAR II network and one in the eastern edge of the network. Lightning activity was moderate without any severe storm reports associated with the convection in the immediate DFW area.
