Jennifer Newman

Biography

Jennifer graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science in 2009 and earned her M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. She graduated with her Ph. D. from OU in 2015 after completing a dissertation on using different lidar scanning strategies to measure turbulence. Jennifer is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Colorado. Her research involves developing new ways to improve the accuracy of lidar turbulence measurements for wind energy applications.
