LABLE

LABLE Header

LABLE is an on-going study by the BLISS team in collaboration with the ARM Southern Great Plains research facility. During the Fall of 2012, multiple instruments including a SODAR and several LIDARs were deployed to simultaneously observe the boundary layer, complementing the already robust observational capabilities of the ARM site. Several unique events - including a sand storm - were observed with this combined set of instruments. Data collection has now concluded, and processing is underway.

A story about LABLE's use of ARM resources can be viewed here: http://www.arm.gov/news/features/post/21522.

Future Work

With the completion of data collection, the team is busy looking at several case studies, as well as investigating the combined value of the many instruments deployed during this study. Check back for more information as this work continues.
