Elections

SAC is accepting nominations for officer and representative positions until 5 pm on Friday April 3, 2015. Elections will follow. Officers and representatives meet approximately once a month during the school year and serve an integral role in bridging the gap between students and faculty. To nominate yourself or someone else, please e-mail us at somsac@gmail.com with your name and a brief biography. Descriptions of the officer positions are listed below:

SAC Officer Positions

Chairperson: Presides over meetings and functions, appoints committee chairpersons, ensures SAC is registered with UOSA. (Must be a graduate student)

Graduate and Undergraduate Vice-Chairs: Preside at all meetings and functions that the Chairperson cannot attend. Serve as Parliamentarian for all meetings and functions for which he or she is not acting as Chairperson.

Secretary: Takes minutes at all SAC meetings and maintains website.

Treasurer: Handles all dues and accounts of SAC. Serves as chairperson of the Budget Committee and ensures SAC submits an appropriate budget to UOSA every year.

Student Representatives: Serve as point of contact for students in the School of Meteorology. Relay business of SAC to their respective peers and relay the concerns of their respective peers to SAC. Freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, Masters, Ph. D. and International representatives are needed.
