Student Affairs Committee (SAC):
The School of Meteorology's Student Voice
The SoM Student Advisory Committee (SAC), in conjunction with the
School of Meteorology, offers a variety of tutoring resources for
students presently enrolled in meteorology coursework. One of these
options is the SoM Help Desk where graduate students offer free help
to students enrolled in meteorology courses. This service is offered
several times a week in NWC5700. Please check email announcements,
flyers posted on the 5th floor, and SAC online calendar for exact times.

Additionally, SAC runs a Tutor-for-Hire service. If a student
feels that he or she needs addtional help in any student, SAC will
help pair this student with an appropriate tutor. While the paring
of students and tutors is free, the actual tutoring is not free. It
is left to the student and the tutor to work out payment
arrangements. Before tutoring a specific course, all potential
tutors are screened by the SAC facutly adviser to ensure that they
are qualified to tutor the course in question.
