Research Interest:

I am in charge of JMA global model, which was upgraded from T106L21 to T213L30 in March 1996. In this version, I have implemented the Economical Arakawa Schubert scheme in replace of Kuo's scheme. The change of the convection scheme has a large impact on the typhoon track forecast.
