The Second International Symposium on Asian Monsoon System (ISAM2) will be held on 27-31 March 2000 at Cheju, Korea. It is co-organized by Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and University of Tokyo, Japan and hosted by Meteorological Research Institute (METRI), KMA. An extended abstract of 4-6 pages, written in English, should be submitted no later than January 31, 2000. The International Conference on Mesoscale Convective Systems and Heavy Rain in East Asia will be held on 24-26 April 2000, Korea Meteorological Administration, Seoul, Korea. It is hosted by the Korean Meteorological Society (KMS). During this conference, the 5th AMIP International Workshop on GCM Simulations of East Asia Climate will also be held in a parallel manner at the same venue. KMS would like to invite you to use this nice opportunity to meet the people in the fields of east Asian weather and climate. The Second International Ocean-Atmosphere Conference will be held on 10-12 July 2000 at Taipei, Taiwan. It is co-organized by Chinese-American Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (COAA), Chinese Undersea Technology Association (CUTA), Central Weather Bureau (CWB), and Water Resources Bureau (WRB). The conference is focused on two themes: Weather Analysis and Forecasting and Advances in Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences and Technologies. An abstract (400 words maximum) should be submitted by December 15, 1999.
