A network of all those interested in the Meteorology and Oceanography relating to Sri Lanka and its neighbourhood has been in operation from the last year. The principal activity of this network is to keep scientists informed of new research, conferences, and to help foster the disciplines in the region. The Network has a quarterly newsletter and over a hundred copies are circulated by e-mail and snail-mail both within and outside Sri Lanka.
