Summary: We decided syddenly to head
after these nice storms out west. We ended up on a severe stormmoving SE

The Chase:
On a summer day with nothignt o do, a few
sever storms popped up in extreme NW OK and the TX panhandle. Tony and I
decided to go after them since we had nothing else to do. We zig-zagged
all over to get out west. We ended up out near Cheyenne, OK in Roger
Mills Co. The storm we were watching was moving SE at 10 mph, and it had
an incredible lightning core. We drove right into the lightning area,
then turned around. There were reports of 1" hail, and I didn't want to
drive into that. We got east a few miles, and I set up my tripod for
some still photos. A couple of them can be seen on my photo's page. We then returned to Norman.
