This infrared satellite loop is of the western United States, from 1730 UTC to 2200 UTC, which is roughly noon to 5 pm on Saturday the 28th of February 2004. Looking at the features reveals the presence of a cold fron passing through eastern Nebraska, central Kansas, central Oklahoma, and parts of West Texas. The front is denoted by a sharp break in the clouds along the aforementioned line. In addition, we can see the low which brought storms this weekend begin to wind up in the four corners area. Also visible on the satellite imagery is a thick fog bank in West Texas, denoted by the motionless band of white in the Texas Panhandle.
