Tandem Team Godfrey

Here is a photo of Chris and I with our Cannondale tandem at Brookhaven Village in Norman shortly before one of our weekly Tuesday night rides with the Bicycle League of Norman.

AMS Summer Policy Colloquium, 2006

I was privileged to be able to participate as a funded student in the American Meteorological Society's Summer Policy Colloquium in Washington, D.C. in June 2006. We spent ten days in Washington learning about science policy, the budget process, and how decisions are made governing the course and future of atmospheric science. It was a wonderful experience, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone with an interest in this area. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about it.

From our trip to Palo Duro Canyon State Park over Labor Day weekend, 2004

I got to try mountain biking for the first time (what fun!)

Palo Duro Canyon is really beautiful

and filled with dangerous creatures! This diamondback rattlesnake and I had a rather frightening close encounter!

Chris and I have been fortunate enough to see the aurora on two separate occasions here in Oklahoma! The second time, in November 2004, we brought our camera and caught this lovely shot (among others).
